Biography
Enn René Díaz Malave is a Venezuelan cellist and musical director with an international career spanning more than two decades.
His artistry and pedagogical vision have resonated across stages in Venezuela, Mexico, Canada, France, Switzerland, Germany, and the United States.
From the young age of 13, Díaz captivated audiences through solo recitals, chamber music, and orchestral performances. His solid academic training and deep passion for music led him to build an extensive orchestral career and a strong reputation as a soloist and mentor.
Between 2002 and 2016, he was a key member of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela under the baton of Maestro Gustavo Dudamel, performing in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls. In 2016, after a successful audition, Díaz joined the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra in Mexico, contributing actively until 2021. During this period, he proudly represented Mexico in various international tours across the United States and Europe.
Throughout his career, Díaz has participated in prominent festivals and academies, such as the Bach Academy’s VIII International Edition led by Helmuth Rilling, and the Domaine Forget Summer Course in Québec, Canada
His contributions to recorded music have garnered significant recognition, including two Grammy Award nominations:
For the album Fiesta with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela under Gustavo Dudamel.
For the album Mariachitlán with the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra.
In addition to his performance career, Enn René Díaz is a passionate educator. He is the Founder of Krea Academy in Katy, Texas, and currently serves as Director and Teacher of the Nucleus Orchestral Program Texas. He also teaches cello privately within the Katy ISD and Fort Bend ISD school districts.
